The art squad of the Central Committee of the women’s union gave a performance at the Hall of Women to commemorate the 76th anniversary of national liberation.
Among the audience were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women’s union, Hong Chol Jin, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, and officials and members of the union in Pyongyang City.
The performance, which started with chorus “Long live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung“, sang highly of the exploits of President Kim Il Sung who achieved the historic cause of national liberation by leading the 20-year anti-Japanese revolutionary war to victory.
Put on the stage were the numbers reflecting the people’s profound reverence for Chairman Kim Jong Il who continued his high-intensity forced march all his life, holding aloft the red flag of the revolution out of his unshakable will to successfully carry forward and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered on Mt Paektu.
The performance, which ended with poem and chorus “We Will Go to Mt Paektu” and “Marshal Is among People”, vividly represented the strong enthusiasm of the women across the country to firmly equip themselves with the revolutionary traditions of Paektu and accelerate the advance and development of Korean-style socialism, true to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
