Spotlight: Kwangbop Temple

Kwangbop Temple stands in Pyongyang about 4km northeast of the Central Zoo. It was built in 392 by Ado, one of the first monks to spread Buddhism to Koguryo. After being burnt to the ground by American soldiers in the war, the temple was beautifully restored by the state in 1990.
