The Munsu area in the capital city of Pyongyang is called a village of hospitals by the citizens.
After the construction of Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and Kim Man Yu Hospital in the early 1980s, Koryo Medicine General Hospital, Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, Munsu Rehabilitation Clinic, Okryu Children’s Hospital, Ryugyong Dental Hospital and Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital have been built, forming a village of hospitals.
Thanks to the benefits of the socialist public health system, the Korean people are receiving all necessary medical service in those hospitals equipped with cutting-edge medical facilities.
