The Women’s Clothes Exhibition 2022 was opened with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition House in Pyongyang amid the expectations and interest of all the people.
Present at the ceremony were Ri Song Hak, vice-premier who is chairman of the Korean Garment Industry Association, Jang Kyong Il, minister of Light Industry, Kwak Jong Jun, minister of Commerce, Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang City People’s Committee, and officials and working people of the garment field and relevant units.
Ri Song Hak made an opening address.
He said that the light industry sector should produce a lot of different varieties of clothes to the tastes of the people, including seasonal clothes, and exhibit them so as to make the Korean-made clothes fashionable and pioneer a socialist, cultured way of life, adding this is the noble intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition venue.
Displayed at the venue of the exhibition are seasonal clothes for women in their thirties and forties produced by more than 540 units, including the Unha Trade Bureau, the Ponghwa Trade Bureau, the Pyongyang City Garment Industry Management Bureau and other garment producers and tailor shops across the country.
Also on display are shoes, handbags, brooches, hairpins, hats and other luxuries that go with women’s clothes, cosmetics and quality material for clothes favored by women.
During the exhibition, there will be a technical exchange among garment processing units, a consultation between customers and garment production units and service by order, together with the examination of goods by experts and ordinary people.
