At dawn on October 8, a lorry exploded on Crimea Bridge which connects the Taman and the Crimea, two peninsulas situated in the southern part of Russia.
As a result, 7 tank cars of a running freight train were set afire on the bridge railways, 2 sections of the bridge motorway destroyed, and several people dead.
Shortly after the incident, adviser to Ukraine’s Presidential Administration openly tweeted that this was just the beginning of the attacks on Crimea Bridge while claiming their responsibility for it.
According to the results of investigation announced by Russia, this act of terrorism on Crimea Bridge was organized by 12 members of Ukraine’s special agency including the head of the reconnaissance bureau of the defence ministry. They are said to have carefully prepared for the explosion by bringing in the lorry in question from Bulgaria to the southern part of Russia via several countries.
In retaliation for the explosion, Russian armed forces fired tens of long-range high-precision missiles, launching a concentrated attack on Ukraine’s major cities including Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa and Lvov.
At such turn of events, some people took the chance to start up another racket of anti-Russia confrontation, like the case of an unlit furnace burning first.
The U.S. Secretary of State, NATO Secretary General and other high-ranking politicians of the West stood up for Ukraine arguing that Ukraine has the right to attack any target within the Russian territory. To the contrary, they are making a big fuss about Russia’s retaliatory missile attack, saying that it rightly proves the atrocity of the unjust war waged by Moscow.
Their reaction strikes us quite mysterious.
That is because the U.S. and the West are pretending to be ignorant of the terrorist attacks by Ukraine even though they used to brand the other countries as “sponsors of terrorism” by trumping up unwarranted pretexts.
We are still wondering if this terrorist attack on the Crimea Bridge was launched according to a scenario written by the U.S. “big brothers” – the ringleaders of international terrorism.
The U.S. does have no end of reason and capacity to back up such an incident which would serve as an excuse to condemn Russia as a barbarous “war criminal” by fomenting a strong retaliation while giving a sense of insecurity among the Russian people and sullying the people’s support and trust in the Russian leadership.
As is already known, “counter-terrorism” is the core of foreign policy, which is often said by the U.S. and the West.
20-odd years ago when there was a terrorist attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre in New York City, it was none other than the U.S. and the West who unreasonably labelled Afghanistan as a “terrorist criminal” and took over this country by military force, turning it into ruins.
As have been seen, the U.S. and the West arbitrarily define “good terrorism” and “bad terrorism” to suit their own tastes. This cannot be evaluated otherwise than as a double-dealing behaviour inciting terrorist crimes.
