Jagang and North Hamgyong provinces of the DPRK distinguish themselves in supporting the steel producers from the outset of the new year, true to the decisions of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Officials and working people in Jagang Province sent lots of scrap iron to metal factories on Jan. 3 by hundreds of trucks.
A campaign for supporting the metal industry also gets brisk in North Hamgyong Province. The provincial people’s committee and rural economy committee and the Chongjin Metal Construction Complex are vying with each other to gather more scrap iron.
Encouraged by the support, the workers in the metal industrial sector put spurs to increasing the iron and steel production with fervent enthusiasm to make continuous innovations and progress this year in the same spirit that they glorified the first year for implementing the five-year plan with proud victories.
