Spotlight: Kaesim Temple

Kaesim Temple is nestled on Mt Pothak in North Hamgyong Province, DPRK. Built in 826 as a religious retreat, it is comprised of several halls and pavilions. There are many Buddhist sculptures and paintings as well as a 600 year old chestnut tree designated as a living monument.
