All the people throughout the country grandly celebrated the 73rd founding anniversary of the glorious Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The participants in the celebrations of the 73rd anniversary of the Republic visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state and paid high tribute to them.
The visitors to the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun spent significant time at its park with ardent yearning for the great leaders.
Working people, service personnel of the People’s Army and youth and students laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the bronze statues and smiling portraits of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and in different other parts of the country and paid homage to them.
The participants in the celebrations of the 73rd anniversary of the DPRK visited different places in Pyongyang City amid the welcome of capital citizens.
They called at the historic Mangyongdae, the sacred place of the revolution.
They also looked round the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery and the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill.
Performances were given in Pyongyang and provinces.
A concert of the Mansudae Art Troupe was given at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, a concert of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre, the revolutionary drama “Blood at an International Conference” at the National Theatre and circus and magic performances at the Pyongyang Circus Theatre and the Jugglery Theatre of the National Acrobatic Troupe in celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the DPRK.
Artistes of the National Folk Art Troupe gave a performance in front of the Three-Revolution Exhibition House, adding to the festive mood in the capital city.
Outdoor performances were given in different places of the capital city by the Central Art Squad, the Workers’ Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the Art Squad of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, the Railway Art Squad and the Pyongyang City Art Squad.
Performances including “People’s Country”, “Pyongyang Is Best”, “Shine Forever, Our Motherland” and “Let’s Devote Our Hearts to the Motherland” were given in North Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang, North and South Hamgyong Provinces and other parts of the country.
The participants in the parade of militia and security forces for celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the DPRK were given special services at the Okryu Restaurant, the Chongryu Restaurant, the Pyongyang Noodle House and other restaurants.
Youth and students and women’s unionists held dancing parties in different places of the country on the holiday.
