Greetings to President Kim Jong Un from Lao President

Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, sent a message of greetings to the respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, on the 9th on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK.

In the message he said:

I think it a great pleasure that over the past 73 years since the founding of the DPRK, the Korean people have achieved overall and great successes in firmly defending the political stability of the country, developing the economy in a sustained way, strengthening the national defence and security and improving the people’s living under the seasoned and resolute leadership of the glorious WPK founded by the great leader President Kim Il Sung and that the position and role of the DPRK are constantly enhanced on the regional and international arenas.

I also think it proud that the traditional and good relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries provided by the preceding leaders of the two parties and the two countries have given substantial interests to the two peoples and made an important contribution to peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world.

I express the firm belief that under the courageous leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un the DPRK would achieve a constant development, progress and prosperity in attaining the goal of building a powerful socialist country and accomplish the cause of peaceful reunification of the country without any foreign interference. I sincerely wish Kim Jong Un good health, happiness and greater success in his noble work, Thongloun Sisoulith added.
