Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on the 15th on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the national liberation.
Standing at the cemetery were the guards of honour of the Korean People’s Army.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were senior officials of the Party and the government, officials of the Party Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly and the Cabinet, and officials of the Party and government bodies in Pyongyang City.
Also on hand were members of the armed forces organs.
Amid the playing of the wreath-laying music, wreaths were laid at the wreath-laying stand in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and the State Affairs Commission, the Standing Committee of the SPA and the Cabinet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The participants paid a silent tribute to the memory of the revolutionary martyrs who devoted their precious lives to the liberation, reunification and independence of the country and to the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered in the Paektu, true to the idea and leadership of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
