Wall Pictures in the Okryu Children’s Hospital

The Okryu Children’s Hospital is in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Seeing the pictures on the walls, visitors to the hospital say they feel as if they are in a gallery.

Kim Song Nam, Head of a Department of the Okryu Children’s Hospital, says:

“Building the hospital, the respected Kim Jong Un thought of how the children could receive treatment without pain. He saw over 1,700 pictures which suit the children’s feelings and give a laugh to their parents and sent artists to paint them.”

The respected Kim Jong Un showed his concern even to the wall pictures in order to build a wonderful children’s hospital. He formed the creating staff and sent necessary pictures to decorate the walls.

Thanks to his love for the children, the walls in the hospital could be decorated with pictures from Korean cartoons and collections of world-famous stories for children in a short period.

One day before its completion, Kim Jong Un visited the hospital and seeing the acrylic picture “We Are the Happiest in the World” in the entrance hall, said with great pleasure that it is a real picture.

The pictures on the walls of the hospital tell his noble love for the coming generations and the future.
