On the 60th anniversaries of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution and of the victory in the Battle of Playa Girón, we extend our warm comradely greetings to the Cuban people who are firmly adhering to the revolutionary principle and independent stand and are pushing ahead with the socialist construction by dint of unity.
60 years ago, the Cuban people, firmly united around Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz-who defined the character of the Cuban Revolution as socialism-in the face of the armed invasion of the imperialists to stifle the newly-founded Cuba at its birth, inflicted a heavy military defeat upon the hostile forces in Playa Girón, thus vigorously encouraging the Latin American people in their struggle for freedom and national independence.
“Fatherland or death, we will win!”, this slogan echoed in Playa Girón, is still kept in the hearts of the Cuban people as their firm faith in victory of revolution as well as a powerful banner of struggle for building a prosperous and powerful socialist country.
The Cuban people, under the correct leadership of the Party and the government of Cuba, are now achieving great successes in the struggle to firmly adhere to the socialist character of the Cuban revolution and to achieve progress and prosperity of the country including the implementation of the 2030 socio-economic development plan.
Our people are always rejoicing as our own over all the achievements made by the Cuban people.
Two countries, the DPRK and Cuba, though geographically far apart, have carried on the wonderful tradition of fraternal and comradely relations of friendship and cooperation on the road of struggle against imperialism.
As in the past, so also in the future, we will continue to stand together with the Cuban people in the same trench of struggle for victory in the cause of socialism and send invariable support and firm solidarity to them in their efforts to build a powerful and prosperous country.
