Story About the “Pomhyanggi”-Trademarked Cosmetics

“Pomhyanggi”-trademarked cosmetics are products of the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. There are hundreds of kinds of such cosmetics with the Kaesong Koryo Insam as its main ingredient.

In his lifetime the great leader Kim Jong Il paid a special attention to the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory.

One day in June Juche 88 (1999) he visited the factory and warmly said: Let’s enable all our people to use good-quality cosmetics to make them beautiful. The production environment is important to make good-quality cosmetics. We should not only better the equipment but also build the factory anew.

Saying so, he chose the site of the factory at the foot of a scenic mountain.

Afterwards, too, he called at the factory several times. When the factory was under construction, he gave meticulous guidance on the spot and when it was completed, he said with great pleasure that now it has become possible to provide the people with sufficient cosmetics.

The factory has become more familiar with the people along with the “Pomhyanggi”-trademarked cosmetics. The respected Kim Jong Un visited the factory in late June Juche 107 (2018).

That day, he said the factory had done a lot of work and praised it for producing a lot of good-quality cosmetics favoured by people. He stressed the need to improve the quality of the products and keep increasing their kinds according to the liking, ages and constitutional characteristics of the customers.

All the Korean people like to use “Pomhyanggi”-trademarked cosmetics.
