The Pyongyang National Musical Instrument Factory has been inaugurated in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
It is a comprehensive national musical instrument producer which has been fully equipped with homemade facilities and can make tens of kinds of national string and woodwind instruments and percussion. The construction of the factory has laid a foundation to further develop the national musical instruments of Korea.
Scientists, technicians and workers of different units including the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology and the Mangyongdae Machine Tool Factory helped manufacture and assemble the equipment suited to the characteristics of the national musical instrument production processes.
A number of workshops for precision processing of parts of musical instruments have been equipped with homemade modern CNC facilities.
Ri Yong Sik, First Vice-Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials concerned looked round the inaugurated Pyongyang National Musical Instrument Factory on the 20th.
