
Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, Kuisong and Unha Salt Works.
Looking round different production processes including the turbine and heat generating workshops he underscored the need to push ahead with the technical modernization to boost the electric power output.
He specifically emphasized the need to accelerate the technical modernization of dust collecting system to protect the ecological environment of the capital and ensure cleaner production environment.
At the Kuisong and Unha Salt Works he learned about the repair of the coastal embankment now underway and stressed the need to complete the project in a qualitative way.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed measures to maximize the existing generating capacity and for the relevant units to supply equipment and materials for the coastal embankment repair project.
Meanwhile, Premier Kim also made a field survey of the second stage project of the Woldo and Hongondo tidelands.
