Officials and members of working people’s organizations held joint meetings in Pyongyang and every province on Oct. 18 and 19 to vow to greet the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) with proud victory by going all out in the 80-day campaign.
Speeches were made at those meetings.
Speakers said that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un called upon all the people to turn out in the 80-day campaign in order to break through difficulties and achieve bigger victory through determined frontal attack.
They called on all members of working people’s organizations to make records of proud achievements in the 80-day campaign register books and thus greet the Congress of victory by meticulously carrying out the organizational and political work and vigorously conducting socialist emulation and various mass movements in every campaign site.
They called upon all members to thoroughly implement emergency anti-epidemic measures taken by the Party and the state and go all out for the reconstruction campaign and the five-year strategy for national economic development, successfully wrap up this year’s farming and make preparations for the next year’s farming.
They called on all the officials and members of working people’s organizations to uphold the leadership of Kim Jong Un, give full play to their patriotic zeal with the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude and thus become honorable victors in the 80-day campaign.
Resolutions were adopted at the meetings.
Then, there took place various agitation activities like performance of students’ brass bands in squares and streets.
