Spotlight: Kwanum Temple

Kwanum Temple in the Mt. Taehung area of the DPRK was originally built in 970, noted for its unique wood architectural style without the use of any nails. Two statues of the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy in a cave of its west corner put there in 970 by a monk are still preserved.
