A wreath was placed before the bust of the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk in the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong on Sept. 22, the 71st anniversary of her demise.
Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were Ri Il Hwan, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials of the Party Central Committee.
A wreath in the name of the Party Central Committee was laid before the bust of Kim Jong Suk.
The participants observed a moment’s silence in memory of the noble life and revolutionary exploits of Kim Jong Suk.
Meanwhile, Chief Pak Su Chol and members of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front also visited the cemetery and laid bouquets before her bust.
That day officials of local Party and power organs and service personnel laid bouquets before her statues in Hoeryong City, Kim Jong Suk County, Kim Jong Suk Naval University, etc. before making a bow.
