Spotlight: Liberation Tower

Liberation Tower stands on Moran Hill in Pyongyang. Built in 1947, it conveys the feats of the martyrs of the Red Army who aided the Korean people in their struggle for national liberation. Its granite blocks weighing a total 815 tons symbolizes August 15, Korea’s liberation day.
