A Sea of Apple Trees in Kosan County

A leading combined fruit farm is in Kosan County of Kangwon Province in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm on several occasions to turn it into a large-scale fruit producer.

Calling at the farm again in July the next year, he set a goal to be hit in the coming few years and took a step to send necessary vehicles and equipment to the farm.

He visited the farm again in September Juche 105 (2016).

That year, the farm greatly surpassed the peak year in fruit production, having a large yield of fruits.

Beaming all over his face, Kim Jong Un said: It is great that more than 50 tons of apples per hectare would be gathered in tens of hectares of apple orchard this year. The apple trees are heavily laden with apples.

Different varieties of apples produced in Kosan are all beautiful in their colours and sweet. The people will be pleased to be supplied with the gathered apples.

And Kim Jong Un gave special thanks in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea to the officials and employees of the farm who had a large yield of fruits, the first of its kind in Kosan, bearing in mind the Party’s intention to provide the people with abundant fruits.

That day, he dwelt upon the prospect of development of the farm, saying it should make a greater leap forward on the basis of the achievements it made that year.

Kosan has a large yield of fruits every year thanks to Kim Jong Un who is making great efforts to change it into a people’s paradise with all kinds of fruits, which is associated with the noble intention and desire of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
