Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on Saturday.
The Russian president in his message extended greetings to Kim Jong Un on the Day of Liberation, the holiday of the Korean nation.
The message said that the two countries cherish the memories of soldiers of the Red Army and Korean patriots who fought shoulder to shoulder for the freedom and independence of Korea 75 years ago.
Noting that the relations between Russia and the DPRK have been of friendly and good-neighborly nature traditionally and it was clearly proved by his meeting with Kim Jong Un in Vladivostok last year, the Russian president in his message said that the agreements made at the meeting contribute to further developing the reciprocal cooperation and promoting peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and throughout the Northeast Asian region.
The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and success and all the citizens of the DPRK happiness and well-being.
