Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, member of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and premier of the Cabinet, made a field survey of the Posan Iron Works and the Pyongyang Construction Machine Plant.
Making a round of the revolving furnace shop of the iron works, he called for managing equipment and improving technical control as required by the technical rules. He also underscored the need to save as many materials as possible with a viewpoint that economy leads to increased production, urging party organizations to inspire the masses to revitalizing production.
At the machine plant, he called for raising the proportion of domestically-produced accessories in the production of machinery and equipment and making a positive introduction of advanced science and technology in the production by meticulously operating sci-tech learning space.
The consultative meetings held on the spots discussed the practical matters arising in decisively raising the level of putting the production processes on a scientific basis and fully supplying the machinery and equipment necessary for the building of dwelling houses in Pyongyang City.
