The Dried Flower Workshop under the Pyongyang Floriculture Institute in the DPRK is striving to diversify the ornamental flower products in keeping with the citizens’ growing cultural and emotional requirements.
Recently, it has made various kinds of interior decoration products with a pine tree and beautiful flowers.
According to a researcher, Kong Yong Sim, the workshop used such plants as rose, carnation and foxtail in making dried flower products, but now is using osmunda and eulalia. It makes glass decoration products and dried pine tree products, not limited to the existing dried flower vases and frames.
Jang Mi Song, another researcher, said that the newly-made pine tree products give an impression of living things as they keep their freshness for a long period.
