The Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory in Kangwon Province of the DPRK developed 69 kinds of “Maebongsan”-trademarked shoes in the first three months of this year.
They are 24 kinds of men’s leather shoes, 26 kinds of women’s leather shoes and 19 kinds of children’s leather shoes, twice the results in the same period of last year.
In this regard, Jo Myong Sik, chief engineer of the factory, told KCNA:
To raise the automation level of production processes was very effective in the development of new goods.
The factory manufactured modern measuring equipment, automatic sole gumming machine and automatic pattern sewing machine by itself to further improve the quality of goods.
It also newly arranged a snap fastener and air-injection foam sole production process to raise the production speed and quality of children’s leather shoes.
“Maebongsan”-trademarked shoes are very popular among the citizens.
