The construction of the Pyongyang General Hospital is progressing at a fast pace.
Builders have removed tens of thousands of cubic metres of earth every day since the beginning of excavation for the foundations. On March 23 the first convoy of trucks carrying hundreds of tons of iron and steel products produced at the Chollima Steel Complex and a large quantity of cement produced at the Sangwon Cement Complex arrived at the construction site. The Taean Friendship Glass Factory completed the production of plate glasses needed for the construction of the hospital.
Pyongyang, Nampho and other cities, Tongrim County of North Phyongan Province and other counties and ministries and national agencies have rendered material and moral assistance to the construction of the hospital in a few days after the groundbreaking.
