The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which is regarding it as its goal to build an educational power and talents power, brought about a revolutionary change in education in Juche 108(2019) as well.
A revolution in education is, in essence, revolutionization of teachers, and teachers are outpost of the revolution in education. The qualifications of teachers are the quality of education, the ability of students and the speed of advance of the country.
The 14th National Conference of Teachers was held in the capital city Pyongyang in September on an unprecedentedly large scale amid great concern and expectation of the entire people and teachers across the country.
On the occasion of the conference, the educators made efforts to train qualitatively talented personnel to shoulder the socio-economic development under the slogan “Let Us Guarantee the Future of the Country by Training the Students as Good Revolutionary Personnel!”.
“Voice of Korea” introduced educators devoting themselves to students through programs of different titles including “A Teacher Has Trained an International Concours Prize Winner”, “More Than 50 Years for the Rising Generations” and “Wealth of a Family of Educators”.
Many other educators have become strong roots for education of the rising generations.
Strong root bears good fruits.

The DPRK gives full basic education to the new generations through the 12-year systematic education including the one-year preschool education at kindergarten, the five-year primary school education, the three-year junior middle school education and the three-year senior middle school education.
Likening the training of talents to a tree, education is like soil and the educational conditions and environment like manure.
An educational power and talents power will be built earlier in the DPRK as education is regarded as the most important of state affairs and as the lifeline of building a powerful socialist country.
